Mission and Goals

The Colonel Stephen S. and Lyla Doherty Center for Aviation and Health Research was established to promote scholarship and innovation at º£½ÇÉçÇø in the fields of aviation and health, foster association and collaboration, and to create opportunities for mutually beneficial community partnerships. The Doherty Center positions Lewis University to address a broader agenda with its contribution to the progression of knowledge and to the betterment of the community, including advancement in inquiry and research.

The Doherty Center is guided by the vision of fostering innovative work to discover, disseminate, and apply knowledge in the fields of aviation and health. As a Center of Excellence, the Doherty Center allows º£½ÇÉçÇø scholars to grow, come together to pursue research that advances knowledge in aviation and health, and strengthen relationships with external partners in these fields.
