Learn how to use Computer Science to help faith-based organizations leverage technology to support their mission.

The and Department of Theology are excited to offer an integrated program that allows students to focus on two areas of study - Computer Science and Theology (CS+Theology). The B.A. in CS+Theology provides a balanced background in both areas, and students may choose a concentration in Theological Studies or Pastoral Ministry.

Through coursework and internship experiences, the program enables students to explore the relationships between computation and understandings of God and analyze the impact of data and computation on personal faith. Upon graduation, students will be able to develop software tools to assist religious organizations in managing their data systems and identify solutions to nurture and inform their members and communities.

Why Computer Science + Theology?

The ability to collect, analyze, and visualize connections and trends within large datasets has enabled scholars in every discipline to gain new insights and raise new questions. Furthermore, every organization has information technology needs that require attention from skilled experts. ’s new CS+Theology degree prepares students to assist colleagues and faith-based organizations in investigating their data more deeply with the help of technology, providing a clear path to a well-paying and opportunity-rich career.
